Acupuncture for Pregnancy & Fertility

Traditional Acupuncture is also used by many couples who are trying to conceive.  Traditional Chinese Medicine has a strong focus on lifestyle and diet.  It offers an alternative diagnosis and approach that has a strong emphasis on emotional well-being. Some women also choose acupuncture alongside IVF as there are studies to suggest that this can improve the outcome.

Acupuncture can also be used safely throughout pregnancy for a range of conditions (pelvic pain, morning sickness, breech presentation, prebirth, depression and labour pain) It can also be used to prepare for birth, both physically and emotionally.

Acupuncture can be amazing during the postpartum period, when you are making huge adjustments physically and emotionally. It is incredibly relaxing and nourishing, an oasis during a time when rest is scarce and nourishment vital.

The Henleaze clinic is 1 mile from Southmead Hospital and the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine. It is therefore one of the closest for couples considering acupuncture alongside IVF treatment.

Five Element Acupuncture

Five Element Acupuncture in itself can be highly effective in treating infertility. I have also had extensive training and experience in using acupuncture to treat infertility and conditions relating to pregnancy.

I am a member of Acupuncture Childbirth Team (ACT), a group of experienced and dedicated Bristol acupuncturists specialising in all aspects of fertility, pregnancy and childbirth.
