Jane Macey Acupuncture, Bristol
Welcome to Jane Macey Acupuncture, bringing the ancient and traditional healing art of acupuncture to Bristol.
Acupuncture originated in China over 2000 years ago. It is a holistic system of medicine that treats the person, rather than a set of symptoms.
Symptoms are our body's way of telling us that something is wrong. If symptoms are ignored or suppressed, then we will never get to the underlying cause and the problem will persist. Traditional Chinese Medicine, with its roots in nature and ancient tradition, has the power to bring us back into balance, improving, not only our symptoms, but our general wellbeing. Many people report feeling very calm after an acupuncture treatment and report many improvements such as sleeping better and feeling less tired.
Acupuncture appears in the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) for non-specific lower back pain, migraines and tension headaches. This means there is sufficient evidence backing its effectiveness for doctors to recommend it. In addition to helping people with these conditions, acupuncture has the benefit having no side effects and is good for enhancing general well-being.
